A UK MP of Nigerian origin quoted Big Shaq's viral song Man's Not Hot in Parliament yesterday and her speech has now gone viral because of that.
Fiona Onasanya, A Member of UK Parliament, threw in a line from the song as MPs debated Chancellor Philip Hammond’s Budget statement in the House of Commons on Tuesday afternoon.
The Labour MP said: "There was no extra money in the Budget for the education system. This is not as simple as saying, '2 plus 2 is 4, minus 3 is 1 – quick maths.'
"These announcements mean real-terms cuts and the potential continuation of the recruitment and retention crisis in our education system."
The politicians did not catch the joke but Twitter users did and they praised her for it.
One Twitter user wrote: "You know things are serious when FionaOnasanyaMP quotes lyrics from #MansNotHot in the #Budget2017 debate."
And the 33-year-old Peterborough MP retweeted the tweet with the caption: "Happy days, someone noticed! #Budget2017".
Big Shaq's first single Man's Not Hot has gone viral with nearly 80 million views on YouTube and has shot up the streaming charts after he performed it on Radio1Extra.
