Five people have been injured after a car smashed into pedestrians in London this morning and two people involved in the incident on Stockwell Road are critically injured.
The South London road remains closed and the Metropolitan Police say the incident, which happened at around 3am is not linked to terrorism.
A Metropolitan Police spokesman confirmed all those injured were pedestrians and that no-one in the vehicle was injured. Footage posted on social media from the scene appears to show glass scattered across the floor and lampposts which had been knocked over into the road.
The road is closed between Brixton and Stockwell and expected to remain closed for the remainder of the morning while police carry out their investigations.
